4 Reasons why I travel
Alot of times when I travel, I prefer not being certain of what will happen the next day when I go to sleep. A friend told me “When traveling, never be quite sure of what you’re doing and where you’re going.” It gives me a challenging element of surprise each day.
A dip into another culture and choosing to engage with it; that is the ultimate practice to break through your comfort zone. Learning about other cultures is the best way to gain perspective on your own.
Tap into your brain and learn possibly the most frustrating but rewarding thing there is: a new language. It’s forgetting all you know and starting fresh. A second language has allowed me to connect with more of the world and the people in it.
New adventure, unique culture and foreign language presents new challenges for most. When you test yourself, adapt and thrive in a situation like this, you grow. Do this alongside a fellow traveler, you’ve made a lasting bond for life.
How am I able to travel to so many countries, eat amazing food, make friends in every city, and see all these sights?
My 20 day trip through Colombia cost me $388 total. Yes, flights accomodations & food included!
